                        | | To qualify for the competition launched at this
year’s Pig and Poultry Fair, producers must confirm
in 50 words the reason why their business would benefit
from technology. After the 12-month period the successful
producers have the option to return the recording package
or take up a recording subscription with WinPig. Announcing the initiative, Mark Wilson – Director
of Pig Development at BPEX highlighted the benefits of
the project, “Technology now provides easier and
more adaptable routes to recording. Working with Agrosoft
we believe that non-recorders will quickly benefit from
real-time information on their herds and be able to make
changes which will quickly impact physical and financial
                      performance.”
The competition has been extended and producers may apply
up until the end of June 2006 to qualify. Full competition
