Daniel Kawczynski MP, chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group
for Dairy Farming, is very pleased to announce that Conservative
Party Leader David Cameron has agreed to join the group, particularly
as it is very unusual for party leaders to give their active support
to All Party Groups.

Daniel is also loking forward to the forthcoming meeting of his
Group with the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) to discuss the dairy
processing sector, which he hopes that David may be able to attend.
Along with the Royal Association of British Dairy Farmers, Daniel
has organised for the Director of Mergers at the OFT to come along
to the July 11th meeting to discuss issues with a specialist lawyer
experienced in the field of competition. The National Farmers Union
and other MPs and Peers from the 70 strong Dairy Group will also
be attending.
The All Party Dairy Group, which has cross-party support from
both the House of Commons and the Lords, hopes to influence the
Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and to raise
the profile of the issues surrounding dairy farming in the UK.
