The Cumberland & Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart P.L.C. had forward 94 prime cattle, 4 young beef bull, 9 otm cattle, 6311 hoggs and 4893cast ewes & rams at their weekly sale at Longtown on Thursday 29th March, 2007.

All classes of clean cattle were dearer by 4p on the week. Top price of 137.5p for Limousin heifers from A & W J Taylor & Son, Dashwellgreen and J & N Blaylock & Son, Hallburn , others to 136.5p, 134.5p Hallburn, 131.5p Dashwellgreen & Hallburn, 130.5p Wyseby Hill Cottage & Hallburn. Heavyweight Charolais heifers 129.5p from Sceughdyke, Salers 132.5p Dashwellgreen. Belgian Blues 128.5p Hallburn. Limousin bullocks 131.5p Hallburn, 130.5p Dashwellgreen and The Gill, Belgian Blues 126.5p Fenton.

Otm catlle to 90.5p for Limousin heifers from Stormont, Friesian cows 76.5p Lane End, 74.5p Highmoorhead, Charolais 84.5p Stormont, Limousin 76.5p Bellbank, Angus 64.5p Bellbank.

The prime hoggs peaked at £65 for Texels from Rosehill, Holywood and to 155.2p for Beltex from Naddle Farm.
