                | | The car, a stunning 1937 Super Six 18 hp, with less than 50,00
miles on the clock awaits a lucky new owner at the annual sale
at Hawes Mart on Saturday 26th May. Also lining up on the starting
line are a range of similarly impressive, if not so lively, vintage
tractors. Vintage vehicles are always sought after and anyone wishing
to enter vehicles or other vintage items may do so up until May
12th. The annual sale, which is held jointly between Hawes Auction Mart
and George F White, attracts a glittering array of vintage tractors,
and occasional rusty implements seeking homes that will take a
shine to them.  It is one of the one of the highlights of
the vintage sale calendar and has become of the major events held
annually in Hawes. Other entered items to date in this years sale
are echoes of more distant times – and the world of hard
manual work –which includes stone troughs, dairy equipment,
pig stool and an extensIve range of vintage tractor parts.   Commenting on the entries to this year’s sale, being held
on Saturday 26th May. Paul McGee of the George F White Bedale office
said “A vintage sale does not just include old tractors
and machinery - there are always lots that are just out of the
ordinary or just useful enough to have survived.  The old
tractor seat is as attractive to collectors as the old tractor.
We have had Baby's Baths and Butcher's Bikes. If anyone is uncertain
about what they can enter please give me a call." Anyone with items to sell should express their interest with Paul
              McGee on 01677 425 301 or email - paulmcgee@georgefwhite.co.uk.
