British Blonde Bull Tops Moira Sale at 4500gns

The Spring Show of British Blonde Males & Females at The Pedigree Sales Arena, Moira on Friday 9th April brought out a great crowd of buyers and onlookers and met a fine trade.

The event was kindly sponsored by The Northern Bank, with John Henning being on hand to present the rosettes and prizes.

Judge for the day was Ian Irwin from the Erneroyal herd at Ballinamallard. He chose his champion bull from the Seaview herd of Gerard Stranney which topped the sale at 4,500gns and was purchased for the Gledney herd by Mark Savage. Reserve Champion was chosen from Colin Todd’s Pinehill herd and was bought by David Hyde, Newtownhamilton.

Female champion was bred by Norman McKnight from the Silverwood herd at Newry and was sold to Gerard Devlin, Randalstown with the reserve female owned by H & S Griffin finding its new home in Tassagh Armagh in Brian McKernan’s herd.
