Senepol can
be found thriving in 21 states & countries such as Venezuela, Mexico,
Philippines, Zimbabwe, Brazil and many others where their tropically
adapted production is needed.
The first
real development of the breed occurred in the valley of the Tees
River about 1600. When first brought to Virginia in 1783, the breed
had attained the name Durham.
The first
South Devons were brought to the United States in 1969 and in 1974.
The NASDA was formed for the purpose of development, registration
and promotion of the South Devon breed of cattle in this country.
